I’ve spent many a hazy night in different clubs from The Empire and The Arena in Middlesbrough, Shindig in Newcastle to Back to Basics in Leeds to name a few. This is where I started to experiment with turntables in the 90s inspired by the club’s I’ve visited and loved.
I started in my spare room and loved to plays sets mainly of house music but sometimes techno and basically anything that sounded good. I started playing at different small venues over the north-east and through this I was able to build up a decent vinyl collection that I still own today.
Over the last few years, I have moved onto online radio stations where I have experimented with assorted styles and have evolved my taste in music to include deep house, soul house and minimal house to name a few. Recently through my radio stations I have had the pleasure to play several small independent festivals and club nights, where I can experiment with the music to cater for unique styles but always delivering a sweet set.
