Nostalgia Sessions: ‘87-‘92” showcases the glory days, no overplayed ‘old classics’ or predictable piano riffs here…just those tracks you’d forgotten about or maybe never heard before, brought to you in the mix with the subtle crackle of vinyl ..pure nostalgia.
Influenced by early Chicago House, Acid and Detroit Techno of 1986 to 1988, Daz has been DJing since 1993 and has been loyal to records ever since.
Daz also produces under the name of Rotterdrum- releasing hardcore, techno and gabber.
Whilst relatively new to radio broadcasting, Daz has a vast knowledge of the old skool scene, his sets are reminiscent of the mixes heard back in the day on the likes of Key 103, Sunset 102 etc.
His mixes on his fortnightly show for UDR ‘Nostalgia Sessions 87-92’ push boundaries and span a variety of the original underground tracks.
Daz avoids the usual “run of the mill crowd pleasers,” choosing instead to drop those rare forgotten gems of old skool hip hop, hip house, Chicago house, acid, techno, early rave breaks and hardcore, taking you right back to those dark and glorious dance floors of 1987 – 1992.
